Primary knee replacement

A 25 year old with juvenile chronic arthritis (an uncommon form of arthritis that affects children and young adults). She had already had the right knee and left hip replaced but her main problem was the left knee, which was giving her increasing pain and was becoming increasingly deformed into valgus (knock kneed). Primary knee replacement was performed with a good recovery of function. (Oxford score before surgery 43, after surgery 21).
